Course Description
Statement Analysis® interviewing training will show attendees how to detect truth and deception by examining a person’s words and how they use those words. A person’s statements are based on their knowledge and often contain information that the person did not intend to reveal. This training course will show attendees how to break down and analyze verbal and written statements to detect deception as well as determine what additional information may be available from the interviewee based on what is revealed in their statements. Unlike other interviewing techniques that rely on the observation and interpretation of the interviewee’s non-verbal clues, Statement Analysis® eliminates the possible misinterpretation of non-verbal clues by focusing on the interviewee’s statements. Videotaped interviews and recorded statements taken from current events are presented and analyzed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Statement Analysis® techniques.
Who Should Attend
Anyone who conducts interviews, wants to improve their interviewing skills, and become better skilled in detecting truth and deception would benefit from this training class – law enforcement investigators, private industry investigators, attorneys, loss prevention/security personnel, accountants, auditors, and human resources personnel, to name a few.
